Killa Boxing Size Guide
Choosing the right size is critical — too big and you lose protection; too small and you can't train comfortably. Use this guide to find your fit before you order.

Boxing Gloves — Weight Guide
Boxing gloves come in weights (oz), not sizes. Heavier gloves = more padding. Choose based on your body weight and intended use:
| Glove Weight | Best For | Body Weight |
|---|---|---|
| 10oz | Speed bag, competition, light pad work | Under 63kg |
| 12oz | General bag work, pad rounds, light sparring | 63–75kg |
| 14oz | All-round training, moderate sparring, heavier hitters | 75–90kg |
| 16oz | Regular sparring, maximum protection, all weights | 85kg+ |
Our recommendation: When in doubt, size up. A heavier glove gives more protection in sparring and a longer lifespan for bag work. Most adult male fighters train in 14–16oz. Most adult female fighters train in 12–14oz.
Head Guards — Size Guide
Our head guards come in two sizes: S/M and L/XL. Measure the circumference of your head at its widest point — typically just above the ears and eyebrows.
| Size | Head Circumference | Typical Fit |
|---|---|---|
| S/M | 53–57cm | Most women, younger fighters, smaller adult heads |
| L/XL | 57–62cm | Most men, larger adult heads |
A properly fitted head guard should sit snugly without rocking or sliding when you shake your head. The chin strap should be comfortably secured without restricting breathing. If you're between sizes, size up for comfort during full sparring rounds.
Hand Wraps — One Size Fits All
The Killa Elite Pro Hand Wraps are 4.5 metres in length — professional length that allows full coverage of the wrist, knuckles, and between the fingers for all adult hand sizes.
4.5m vs 4m — what's the difference? Standard hand wraps are 4m; professional and competition wraps are 4.5m. The extra 50cm means you can do full multiple-layer wrapping across the knuckles for maximum protection. Our wraps are 4.5m because that's the length that gives you complete hand protection, not just the minimum.
| Length | Coverage | Suitable For |
|---|---|---|
| 4.5 metres | Full wrist, knuckle, and finger coverage — multiple layers | All adult hands (women and men) |
How to check fit: The wrap should feel snug and compressive but not tight enough to restrict blood flow. Your hand should feel supported — especially around the wrist and knuckles — without any pins or needles. New to wrapping? Read our step-by-step hand wrapping guide.
Skipping Rope — Adjustable for All Heights
The Killa Boxing Skipping Rope has a fully adjustable cable that fits heights from 150cm to 190cm+. Set your length once using the quick-adjust screw at each handle: stand on the middle of the rope and pull both handles up — they should reach approximately armpit height.
Punch Vest & Body Shield — One Size
Our body shield and punch vest are designed as one-size training tools. The body shield is held by the coach/training partner and does not need to fit the user. The punch vest fits most adult body types and has adjustable side buckle straps for a secure fit across different torso sizes.
Need to Know Your Sparring Glove Weight?
For sparring specifically, the Australian standard is 16oz minimum for all adult fighters, regardless of weight class. Many gyms require 16oz or above for any contact rounds. If your gym runs hard sparring, 18oz provides additional protection — particularly recommended for fighters 90kg+ or anyone with prior hand injuries.
